With an Australian cultural influence, Leesa Chandler has sourced design elements from early 1900's architecture, interior design and textiles for the simply stunning Melba range. The inspiration for this range comes from the 1920's, an era of elegance, class and style - and it shows!
Melba Border Stripe - Inspired by Wall Paper Friezes, Braids and Interior Designs from the 1920’s.
This unique and practical Border or Stripe design mirror images in the centre of the bolt and features 8”, 6” and 4 ½” high designs which are separated by a ½” stripe of Wattle flowers and leaves. There is a ½” gap in design between all sections so you can easily cut out sections with a ¼” seam allowance.
The Waratah and Grevillea 8” stripe repeats every 12”, and the 6” Flowering Gum, Bottle Brush and Christmas Bell stripe repeats every 6”. The 4 ½” Sturt Rose and Sturt Pea stripe also repeats every 6”.
The overall design repeats every 24”.
