"This Runner is made using the Creative Grids CGRDH6 Half Rectangle Trim Tool, which make Half Rectangle units a breeze. The main part of the runner can be made to any size, from 1” x 2”, up to 4” x 8” rectangles, using the Trim Tool.

I have also added a template for you to make 3” x 6” half rectangles (finished size), which is the size I used for the runner in the pattern.

Be warned you might enjoy making this pattern so much you might want to keep going and make a quilt!"

    To make this project, you will need (available to purchase separately):

    • Fabric A – Main Fabric – Floral Print -0.75m
    • Fabric B – Co-ordinating plain/ tone-on-tone – Green -0.5m (half rectangle)
    • Fabric C – Co-ordinating plain/tone-on-tone – Red -0.5m (half rectangle)
    • Fabric D – Contrast plain/tone/on-tone – Black - 0.5m (centre squares, inner border and binding).
    • Wadding – minimum 30” x 44” piece, you might wish to use insulated wadding.
    • Backing fabric – 1m.
    • Creative Grids Half Rectangle Trim Tool CGRDH6 (*If making your own template, you will also need - template plastic, a pencil and a fabric marker)
    • Sewing thread
    • Basic sewing kit
